Removal (Eclipse & Galant)

Release fuel pressure. See FUEL SYSTEM PRESSURE RELEASE .
While pulling rear seat stopper, lift up and remove rear seat cushion. See Fig 1. Remove fuel pump module access hole cover. See Fig 2. Working through access hole, cover fuel hose with a shop towel and disconnect fuel hoses at fuel pump module.
Disconnect electrical connector(s) at fuel pump module. Using Fuel Pump Module Remover/Installer (MB991480), remove fuel pump module. See Fig 3.
