Possible Causes

Malfunction is detected when:
- An excessively high voltage signal from ASCD steering switch is sent to ECM.
- ECM detects that input signal from ASCD steering switch is out of specified range.
- ECM detects that ASCD steering switch is stuck on.
Possible causes are:
- ASCD steering switch circuit open or shorted.
- Defective ASCD steering switch.
- Defective ECM.
