DTC Confirmation Test "D" (Using CONSULT-II)

  1. Turn ignition on. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. If engine starts, go to next step. If engine will not start, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  .
  2. Using scan tool, select DATA MONITOR, and monitor MAS A/F SE-B1 voltage value. Increase engine speed to about 4000 RPM. If voltage increases linearly as engine speed increases, go to next step. If voltage does not increases linearly as engine speed increases, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  .
  3. Maintain the following conditions for at least 10 consecutive seconds:
    • Engine speed more than 2000 RPM.
    • THRTL POS SEN value on scan tool more than 3 volts.
    • Drive vehicle uphill (to increase engine load).

    If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE  . If 1st trip DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
