DTC Confirmation Test (Using Generic Scan Tool)

  1. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature. Turn ignition switch off and wait at least 5 seconds. Start engine and let it idle for at least 20 seconds.
  2. Select MODE 7 with scan tool. If 1st trip DTC is detected, go to appropriate DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE. If 1st trip DTC is not detected, system is okay at this time.
