Overall Function Test (With GST)

NOTE: Use this procedure to check the overall function of the heated oxygen sensor 1 circuit. During this check, a DTC might not be confirmed.
  1. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature.
  2. Set voltmeter probes between ECM terminal No. 92 HO2S1 (B1), for 2.5L or ECM terminal No. 91 HO2S1 (B1) or ECM terminal No. 92 HO2S1 (B2), for 3.5L signal and engine ground.
  3. Check the following with engine speed held at 2000 RPM under no load, see Fig 1- Fig 2 . The voltage does not remain in the range of 0.2 to 0.4V.
  4. If "NG", see DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE (2.5L)  or DIAGNOSTIC PROCEDURE (3.5L)  .
