NEW WEBSITE ADDRESS FOR SPECIAL TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT  - All models.  MMNA's special tools vendor is now Bosch and the website address has changed to mitsubishi.service-solutions.com. GROUP 31 - Wheel & Tire

TPMS TRANSMITTER REPLACEMENT  - 2014 Mirage  . The TPMS transmitters for the 2014 Mirage cannot be interchanged with other vehicles. Part number 4250D585 is the only transmitter that should be used on the Mirage. The body of other transmitters interferes with the Mirage's wheel rim because of rim diameter differences and dimensional differences between the two transmitters. Using the incorrect transmitter on the Mirage will lead to a damaged transmitter and a repeat repair.

GROUP 42A - Body

2014 OUTLANDER ELECTRIC LIFTGATE DOES NOT FUNCTION - 2014 Outlander. REVISION:  The electric liftgate system can be turned off using the master switch located in the front of the console next to the key box. Unless this button is in the ACTIVE position (pressed in), the liftgate will not operate electrically. As recommended in TSB-13-00-014REV , place the master switch in the ACTIVE position during PDI.

When operating the liftgate using the internal dash mounted switch (left side of the steering column), the liftgate will not open unless ALL doors are unlocked. If only the driver's door is unlocked, a warning is heard when the switch is pressed and the gate does not open. This does not affect the tailgate mounted switch.

GROUP 52A - Interior

INSTRUMENT PANEL DEFORMATION  - 2013-14 Outlander Sport, 2004-11 Endeavor, 2004-12 Galant, 2006-12 Eclipse, 2007-12 Eclipse Spyder  . When requested to return an instrument panel (I/P) from affected vehicles that exhibit a bubble, void or separation in the surface, you are not required to send the entire I/P. Refer to the following photo and, using an appropriate saw, cut out an area of the I/P around the blemish and return it (cuts should be 1 1/2 - 2" from the blemish). You may discard the rest of the I/P.

The actual shape of the cut piece is left up to the technician, but it must include the blemish and the plastic understructure, not just the soft material. If the location of the blemish prevents cutting a piece of the requested size, a smaller sample is acceptable. This information was also posted in the December, 2011 Warranty Monthly Banner.

GROUP 54 - Chassis Electrical

CHANGING THE RADIO RECEPTION MODE  - 2014 models with Display Audio System or MMCS  . For affected vehicles, customers have the option of selecting whether they want HD (digital), or standard (analog) radio reception, or they can choose to have the radio select the signal automatically. The default setting for these units is "HD Radio Receive - On" with the "HD Radio Setting" set to "AUTO" and the unit will automatically play radio in HD mode if it is available. However, customers who live on the edge of HD radio reception areas may notice an audible change as the radio switches back and forth between digital and analog signals.

This setting can be changed on the Display Audio unit by pressing the "MENU button," then touching the "Setting" button on the screen and selecting "Radio Setting." For MMCS, touch the "Radio Settings" button on the screen, then make the desired changes by touching the screen. If a customer reports this condition, refer them to the Display Audio Owner's Manual or the MMCS Owner's Manual shipped in the glovebox of their vehicle. Instructions are included for customers to follow and customize HD reception preference and other audio settings.
