Engine Coolant Temperature Gauge Unit Check

  1. Drain the engine coolant.
  2. Remove the engine coolant temperature gauge unit.
  3. Put water temperature gauge unit into the hot water in specified temperature, and ensure that basic resistance is within standard value.
    1. Standard value: 70°C (150°F) 104 +/- 13.5 ohm 
    2. Reference value:

    3. After inspection, apply specified sealant at threads of water temperature gauge unit, and tighten to the specified torque.
      1. Semi-drying sealant: 3M(tm) ADD part No.2310 or equivalent 
    4. Refill coolant.
