Individual Component Service

WARNING:
  • If heat damage may occur during paint work, remove the SRS-ECU, the air bag module, the clock spring, the seat belt with pre-tensioner. Recheck the SRS system operability after reinstalling them.
  • SRS-ECU, air bag module, clock spring: 93° C (200 ° F) or more
  • Seat belt with pre-tensioner: 90 °C (194 ° F) or more
  • If the SRS components are removed for the purpose of check, sheet metal repair, painting, etc., they should be stored in a clean, dry place until they are reinstalled.

If the SRS components are to be removed or replaced as a result of maintenance, diagnosis, etc., follow the appropriate procedure (refer to FRONT IMPACT SENSORS , , SRS-ECU , , AIR BAG MODULE(S) AND CLOCK SPRING , , SIDE IMPACT SENSOR , , SEAT BELTS WITH PRE-TENSIONER , , SEAT SLIDE SENSOR , , OCCUPANT CLASSIFICATION SENSOR ).
