Power Steering Pressure Switch Replacement
- Before removing the switch, wipe the pump clean to prevent intrusion of contamination into the pump.
- Disconnect the harness connector from the male terminal of the pressure switch.
- Use a socket type wrench to loosen and remove the switch.
- Hand start the new switch into the thread hole.
- Using a socket type wrench, tighten the pressure switch to 19.6 +/- 2.94 N.m(14.5+/-2.2ft-lb).
- Connect the harness connector back to the pressure switch.
- Test the vehicle to ensure the switch is working properly.NOTE: Avoid making contact with the terminal portion of the switch during installation. This could damage the electrical performance of the switch.
