F.A.S.T. Key Programming  - 2007 Outlander, 2008 Lancer  . Programming the F.A.S.T. key system for vehicle starting and entry  requires that you use the MUT III to enter a password and follow specific steps to program keys.

As this procedure erases all keys in memory, it is necessary that you have ALL keys available when programming.

NOTE: The Lancer's emergency/valet key does not have an immobilizer transponder. To start the engine with the emergency/valet key, see Step  b and the accompanying photo.
  1. Remove the knob from the end of the ignition lock cylinder.
  2. Remove the emergency/valet key from ALL F.A.S.T. Key fobs.
    • For Outlander, insert the first emergency/valet key into the ignition.
    • For Lancer, install the emergency/valet keys into their fobs as shown. Then insert the first E.A.S.T. Key assembly to be registered into the ignition. The assemblies must remin INSIDE the vehicle for the entire process.
