Module/Frame Assembly: Installation

  1. Install the trough guides. (Refer to BODY/SUNROOF/INSTALLATION )
  2. Install the sight shields.
  3. Install the drive motor. (Refer to BODY/SUNROOF/MOTOR W/CONTROL UNIT - INSTALLATION )
  4. Install the sunshade. (Refer to BODY/SUNROOF/INSTALLATION )
  5. Install the glass panel. (Refer to BODY/SUNROOF/INSTALLATION )

  6. Remove the backing tape from the foam support pad, if necessary.
  7. Raise rear end of sunroof module assembly and guide into position and start fasteners.
  8. Tighten the fasteners to 9 N.m (80 in. lbs.).
  9. Connect the drain tubes.
  10. Install the wire harness.
  11. Connect battery negative cable.
  12. Test sunroof operation, adjust glass as necessary. (Refer to BODY/SUNROOF/SUNROOF GLASS - ADJUSTMENTS )
  13. Partially install the headliner and connect the sunroof wiring electrical connectors. (Refer to INTERIOR/HEADLINER - INSTALLATION )
  14. Temporarily install sunroof switch and perform the sunroof motor teach procedure. (Refer to BODY/SUNROOF/MOTOR W/CONTROL UNIT - STANDARD PROCEDURE - DRIVE MOTOR TEACH PROCEDURE )
  15. Complete headliner installation. (Refer to INTERIOR/HEADLINER - INSTALLATION )
  16. Verify correct sunroof operation.
