Diagnostic Test

  1. TEST FOR TROUBLE CODES 
    1. Turn the ignition on.
    2. With the scan tool, read DTC's

    Q: Does the scan tool display any Body related DTC's? 

    No : 

    • Go To 2

    Yes : 

    • Refer to the appropriate DTC and repair as necessary.
  2. DOOR LOCK SWITCH SHORTED

    1. Disconnect the Driver Window/Door Lock Switch connector.

    Q: Is the voltage approximately 5.0? 

    Yes : 

    No : 

    • Go To 3
  3. DRIVER DOOR LOCK SWITCH MUX CIRCUIT SHORT TO GROUND

    1. Turn the ignition off.
    2. Disconnect the Cluster C2 connector.
    3. Measure the resistance between ground and the (G161) Driver Door Lock Switch Mux circuit.

    Q: Is the resistance below 10000.0 ohms? 

    Yes : 

    No :
