INSPECTION PROCEDURE 13: The map disk is not read; INSPECTION PROCEDURE 14: The map disk cannot be inserted: Diagnosis
- STEP 1. Using the navi service mode function, check that the navigation unit is OK.
- Display the Circuit check. (Refer to DIAGNOSIS SERVICE MODE FUNCTION .)
- Check that "OK" is shown in the field of DVD.
Q: Is check result normally?
YES: Go to Step 2.
NO: Replace the navigation unit.
- STEP 2. Check that the inserted disk is the special map disk.
*1. When an unusable disk is inserted, "The disk is not a map disk. Please insert the map disk." is displayed.
*2. If the disk is not inserted, "There is no disk in the DVD player. Please insert the map disk." is displayed.
Q: Is an inserted disk the special map disk?
YES: Go to Step 3.
NO: Replace the disk with the special map disk.
- STEP 3. Check if the map disk is inserted upside down.
Q: Is the map disk inserted upside down?
YES: Go to Step 4.
NO: Correct the side of the map disk, and then reboot.
- STEP 4. Check that the fouling is present to the map disk.
Q: Is there any fouling to the map disk?
YES: Go to Step 5.
NO: Clean the disk signal side, then reboot.
- STEP 5. Check that the scratch is present to the map disk.
Q: Is there any scratch to the map disk?
YES: Replace the navigation unit.
NO: Go to Step 6.
- STEP 6. Replace the map disk, then check that the disk is scratched again.
Q: Is the disk scratched again?
YES: Replace the navigation unit.
NO: Replace the map disk.
