VIN Code Registration Procedure For ETACS-Ecu.

Required Special Tools: 

• MB991958: Scan Tool (M.U.T.-III Sub Assembly)
  • MB991824: V. C. I.
  • MB991827: M.U.T.-III USB Cable
  • MB991910: M.U.T.-III Main Harness A

1. Connect scan tool MB991958 to the data link connector.
2. Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.

3. Select "System select."

4. Choose "From 2006."

5. Enter the VIN code of the vehicle that is being registered. Then, press "OK" button.

6. Select "IMMOBILIZER."

7. Select "Coding."

8. Select "Chassis No/VIN Writing."

9. Enter the VIN code (all 17 characters) of the vehicle that is being registered. Then, press "OK" button.
10. When the execution confirmation menu of the VIN writing is displayed, press the OK button.

11. When the VIN writing completion menu is displayed, press the OK button.

12. The results of VIN writing are displayed.
13. Register the encrypted code. (Refer to ENCRYPTED CODE REGISTRATION CRITERIA TABLE .)
14. Register the remote keyless entry transmitters. (Refer to HOW TO REGISTER SECRET CODE .)
