ATEQ TPMS Reset Procedure

NOTE: This procedure uses the ATEQ MitsuReset (P/N: OBD5-M000).
  1. Turn ignition switch to OFF position.
  2. Set the tire pressure of all wheels to pressure specified on the tire and loading information label.
  3. Plug OBD5-M000 into Data Link Connector (DLC).
  4. Turn ignition switch to ON, and press ON button on OBD5-M000.
  5. Select "TEST SENSOR/PRESSURE" on the TPMS3.
  6. Select correct Make/ Model/ Year.
  7. Starting with the Left Front tire, hold the TPMS3 within 3 inches of the valve stem. See fig. 3. Press TEST button on the TPMS3 to transmit the sensor ID. Continue the procedure for the rest of the sensors in the following order: Right Front, Left Rear, and then Right Rear.
  8. When the OBD5-M000 displays a Green LED light, press OFF.
  9. Disconnect OBD5-M000 from the DLC.

Spare Tire TPMS Sensor 

On models with a full-sized spare tire, equipped with a TPMS sensor, if the tire is to be re-mounted on a rear hatch carrier, always reposition the valve as shown in Fig 1. If valve is not positioned as shown, the system may determine incorrectly that the spare tire is being used as a road tire.
