Steering Angle Check

  1. Check that the wheel alignment is normal. (Refer to WHEEL ALIGNMENT CHECK AND ADJUSTMENT .)
  2. Place the front wheel on a turning radius gauge and measure the steering angle.

    Standard value: 

    STEERING ANGLE SPECIFICATIONS

    Item 16-inch wheels 18-inch wheels
    Inner wheel 37°12' ± 2°00' (Left/right deviation within 2°00') 32°54' ± 2°00' (Left/right deviation within 2°00')
    Outer wheel (reference value) 30°18' 27°48'

  3. If not within the standard value, adjust the tie-rods (right and left), and repeat Steps  1 and  2.
  4. If the measured value exceeds the standard range by performing Step 3, replace the steering gear and linkage assembly (Refer to POWER STEERING GEAR BOX AND LINKAGE  ).
