Inspection Procedure 6: DIAGNOSIS MODE Cannot Be Made An Entry - Mobile Phone Item Is Not Displayed On The INFOR Screen Of MMCS < Vehicles With MMCS >: Diagnosis

Required Special Tools: 

  1. STEP 1. Check the multivision display operation. 

    Check if the multivision display work normally and the sound is output.

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

  2. STEP 2. Check hands free module connector C-11 and multivision display connector C-09 for loose, corroded or damaged terminals, or terminals pushed back in the connector 

    Q: Are hands free module connector C-11 and multivision display connector C-09 in good condition? 

  3. STEP 3. Check the wiring harness between hands free module connector C-11 (terminal 16, 2) and multivision display connector C-09 (terminal 74, 73). 
    • Check the signal lines for open circuit and short circuit.
      NOTE: Also check intermediate connector C-110 for loose, corroded, or damaged terminals, or terminals pushed back in the connector. If intermediate connector C-110 is damaged, repair or replace the connector as described in HARNESS CONNECTOR INSPECTION .

    Q: Is the wiring harness between hands free module connector C-11 (terminal 16, 2) and multivision display connector C-09 (terminal 74, 73) in good condition? 

    • YES:  Go to Step 4.
    • NO:  The wiring harness may be damaged or the connector(s) may have loose, corroded or damaged terminals, or terminals pushed back in the connector. Repair the wiring harness as necessary.
  4. STEP 4. Check if the power supply circuit of hands free ECU have a problem. 

    Perform the inspection Procedure 1 "Check the hands free module power supply circuit." of the troubleshooting. (Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURE 1: CHECK THE HANDS FREE MODULE POWER SUPPLY CIRCUIT.  .)

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    • YES:  Go to Step 5.
    • NO:  Repair according to the troubleshooting for reference.
  5. STEP 5. Replace the hands free module temporarily, and check the trouble symptom. 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    • YES:  Replace the hands free module.
    • NO:  Replace the multivision display.
