Symptom Chart

SYMPTOM CHART

Symptom Inspection procedure
Communication with scan tool is not possible Communication with the ECM only is impossible Refer to SYMPTOM PROCEDURES .
When the brake pedal is depressed, cruise control is not cancelled. Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURE 1: WHEN THE BRAKE PEDAL IS DEPRESSED, CRUISE CONTROL IS NOT CANCELLED. 
When the clutch pedal is depressed, cruise control is not cancelled <M/T.> Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURE 2: WHEN THE CLUTCH PEDAL IS DEPRESSED, CRUISE CONTROL IS NOT CANCELLED <M/T.> 
When the shift lever is moved to "N" position, cruise control is not cancelled <TC-SST.> Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURE 3: WHEN THE SHIFT LEVER IS MOVED TO "N" POSITION, CRUISE CONTROL IS NOT CANCELLED <TC-SST.> 
When the "CANCEL" switch is pressed, cruise control is not cancelled. Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURE 4: WHEN THE "CANCEL" SWITCH IS PRESSED, CRUISE CONTROL IS NOT CANCELLED. 
Cruise control cannot be set (No response "COAST/SET" switch and "ACC/RES" switch is pressed.) Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURE 5: CRUISE CONTROL CANNOT BE SET (NO RESPONSE "COAST/SET" SWITCH AND "ACC/RES" SWITCH IS PRESSED.) 
Hunting (repeated acceleration and deceleration) occurs at the set vehicle speed. Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURE 6: HUNTING (REPEATED ACCELERATION AND DECELERATION) OCCURS AT THE SET VEHICLE SPEED. 
When the "ON/OFF" switch is turned ON, "CRUISE" indicator light does not illuminate (However, cruise control system is normal.) Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURE 7: WHEN THE "ON/OFF" SWITCH IS TURNED ON, "CRUISE" INDICATOR LIGHT DOES NOT ILLUMINATE (HOWEVER, CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM IS NORMAL.)
