CAUTION:
- Special grease is used for the joint. Do not mix the new and previous types of grease or different types of grease.
- When the spider assembly is cleaned, apply the specified grease carefully more than usual.
- Fill the specified grease fully into the clearance between the spider shaft of the spider assembly and the roller.
Specified grease: Repair kit grease
- Install the spider assembly to the shaft of the spline area from the beveling side.
- Insert the driveshaft into the PTJ case after filling the specified grease to the PTJ case, and then fill the grease again.

220 ± 10 g (7.8 ± 0.4 oz) < 2.4 L Engine LH >
245 ± 10 g (8.6 ± 0.4 oz) < 3.0 L Engine LH >
200 ± 10 g (7.1 ± 0.4 oz) < 2.4 L Engine RH-Vehicles without S-AWC >
255 ± 10 g (9.0 ± 0.4 oz) < 3.0 L Engine RH-Vehicles without S-AWC >
250 ± 10 g (8.8 ± 0.4 oz) < Vehicles with S-AWC >
NOTE: When using the repair kit grease, fill the half of the grease into the joint and the other half into the boot as a guideline, and consume the grease completely.
