Code No. U0100 Engine ECU CAN timeout; Code No. U0101 T/M ECU CAN timeout; Code No. U0114 AWD-ECU CAN timeout; Code No. U0126 SAS CAN timeout; Code No. U0141 ETACS-ECU CAN timeout; Code No. U15A0 ACC/FCM ECU CAN timeout: Diagnosis

Use scan tool (M.U.T.-III) to diagnose the CAN bus lines.

Q: Is the check result normal? 

1. YES:  Go to Step 2.
2. NO:  Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to CAN BUS DIAGNOSTICS TABLE ). On completion, go to  Step 4.

Q: Is Code No. U0100, U0101, U0114, U0126 or U15A0 stored? 

1. YES:  Go to Step 3.
2. NO:  The procedure is complete.

Use scan tool (M.U.T.-III) to check that other DTC is stored in the ECU corresponding to the relevant diagnosis.

Q: Is other DTC stored? 

1. YES:  Troubleshoot for the relevant DTC.
2. NO:  Go to Step 4.

Use scan tool (M.U.T.-III) to check if the same DTC (timeout) is stored in the other ECU.

Q: Is any DTC stored? 

1. YES (Code No. U0100 is stored):  Replace the engine control module (Refer to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE < 2.4L ENGINE >, ENGINE CONTROL MODULE < 3.0L ENGINE >), and then go to Step 5.
2. YES (Code No. U0101 is stored):  Replace the TCM, and then go to Step 5.
3. YES (Code No. U0114 is stored):  Replace AWD-ECU, and then go to Step 5.
4. YES (Code No. U0126 is stored):  Replace steering wheel sensor (Refer to << A >> STEERING WHEEL SENSOR REMOVAL  ), and then go to Step 5.
5. YES (Code No. U0141 is stored):  Replace the ETACS-ECU (Refer to ETACS .), and then go to Step 5.
6. YES (Code No. U15A0 is stored):  Replace the ACC/FCM-ECU (Refer to ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL SYSTEM (ACC) ), and then go to Step 5.
7. NO (No DTC is stored.):  The procedure is complete.

Erase the DTC.

Q: Is Code No. U0100, U0101, U0114, U0126, U0141 or U15A0 stored? 

1. YES:  Replace the hydraulic unit (integrated with ASC-ECU) (Refer to HYDRAULIC UNIT  ).
2. NO:  The procedure is complete.
