INSPECTION PROCEDURE 6: Keyless Entry System-Linked Fold/Unfold Function Does Not Work Normally: Diagnosis

STEP 1. Check the ETACS configuration function. 

Use the ETACS configuration function to confirm that "AUTO FOLD MIRROR" is set to "OPN { CLS Keyless".

Q: Is the check result normal? 

• YES  Go to Step 2.
• NO  Use the ETACS configuration function to set "AUTO FOLD MIRROR" to "OPN { CLS Keyless" (Refer to CONFIGURATION FUNCTION ).

1. STEP 2. Check the keyless entry operation. 

   Check that the keyless entry interlock fold/unfold function for the door mirrors works normally.

Q: Is the check result normal? 

2. YES  Go to Step 3.
3. NO  Refer to INSPECTION PROCEDURE 12: KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM DOES NOT WORK ).
4. STEP 3. Retest the system. 
   • Check that the keyless entry interlock fold/unfold function for the door mirrors works normally.

Q: Is the check result normal? 

5. YES  Intermittent malfunction (Refer to HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTIONS ).
6. NO  Replace the ETACS-ECU.
