Check Whether The Automatic High Beam System Is Activated/Deactivated

  1. Check that the automatic high beam system is activated. 

    When the condition is satisfied, the automatic high beam system will be activated. Then the automatic high beam operation indicator light in the combination meter will illuminate in green.

    • Always observe the following procedures from step  1.
      1. Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
      2. Turn on the low-beam headlights. (Set the lighting switch to "AUTO" or "HEAD" position.)
      3. Turn on the automatic high beam switch.
  2. (2) Check that the automatic high beam system is deactivated. 

    When any of the following conditions is satisfied, the automatic high beam system will be deactivated. Then the automatic high beam operation indicator light in the combination meter will go off.

    • Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
    • Press the automatic high beam switch to deactivate the system.
    • Turn off the low-beam headlights. (Set the lighting switch to any position other than "AUTO" or "HEAD".)
    • Operate the dimmer switch.
