Use the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) to execute the automatic high beam system operation check on the special function menu: Notes

NOTE: The headlights may not be switched between high and low beams when it is dark around the vehicle.
  1. Connect the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).
  2. Follow "Check that the automatic high beam system is activated" (Refer to SPECIAL FUNCTION TABLE ) to switch on the system (the automatic high beam system operation indicator (green) illuminates).
  3. Operate the scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) as below:
    1. Select "FCM/LDW/AHB" on the system selection screen.
    2. Select "Special function."
    3. Select "Test."
    4. Select "AHB operation check mode" and wait for ten seconds.
  4. Cover the lens on the camera entirely with a lightproof shield.

    OK: The headlights are switched into high beam. 

  5. Uncover it.

    OK: The headlights are switched into low beam.
