How To Read And Erase Diagnostic Trouble Codes
Required Special Tools:
- MB992744: Vehicle communication interface-Lite (V.C.I.-Lite)
- MB992745: V.C.I.-Lite main harness A
- MB992747: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable short
- MB992748: V.C.I.-Lite USB cable long
NOTE:
If the battery voltage is low, diagnostic trouble codes will not be set. Check the battery if scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) does not display.
- Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) to the data link connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
- Select "STV".
- Select "ABS/ASC/ASTC/WSS" from "System List," and press the "OK" button.
- Select "Diagnostic Trouble Code" to read the DTC.
- If a DTC is set, it is shown.
- Choose "Erase DTCs" to erase the DTC.
