>>C<< Spider Assembly/Inboard Joint Case Installation
CAUTION:
- Special grease is used for the joint. Do not mix the new and previous types of grease or different types of grease.
- When the spider assembly is cleaned, apply the specified grease carefully more than usual.
- Fill the specified grease fully into the clearance between the spider shaft of the spider assembly and the roller.
Specified grease: Repair kit grease
- Install the spider assembly to the shaft of the spline area from the beveling side.
- Insert the driveshaft into the inboard joint case after filling the specified grease to the inboard joint case, and then fill the grease again.
Specified grease: Repair kit grease
Application amount:
250 ± 10 g (8.8 ± 0.4 oz) <LH>
260 ± 10 g (9.2 ± 0.4 oz) <RH>
NOTE: When using the repair kit grease, fill the half of the grease into the joint and the other half into the boot as a guideline, and consume the grease completely.
