Module, Hands Free Liftgate: Installation: Module

  1. Position the Hands Free Entry (HFE) liftgate module (3) in HFE sensor bracket.
  2. Install the fastener (2) to secure the HFE liftgate module to the HFE sensor bracket.
  3. Connect the wire harness connectors (1) to the HFE liftgate module.
  4. Install the rear bumper lower fascia. Refer to FASCIA, REAR, LOWER, INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
