Diagnostic Test

CHECK FOR RELATED DTCS
1. Turn the ignition on.
2. With the scan tool, read Memory Seat Module-Driver (MSMD) DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display any seat position sensor or circuit performance DTCs?
  
  Yes
  - Perform the appropriate MSMD DTC diagnostic procedure. Refer to DIAGNOSTIC CODE INDEX .
  No
  - Go To 2
CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
1. With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on the repair order.
2. Record the Environmental Data.
3. With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
4. Move the seat in the full forward horizontal position.
5. With the scan tool, read MSMD DTCs.
  Is the same DTC active?
  
  Yes
  - Go To 3
  No
  - Perform the TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION procedure. Refer to TESTING FOR AN INTERMITTENT CONDITION .
PERFORM THE MSMD STANDARDIZATION ROUTINE
1. With the scan tool, perform the MSMD Standardization Routine.
2. Turn the ignition off.
3. Turn the ignition on.
4. Move the seat in the full forward horizontal position.
5. With the scan tool, read MSMD DTCs.
  Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
  
  Yes
  - Replace and program the Memory Seat Module-Driver (MSMD) in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, MEMORY, SEAT (MSM), REMOVAL .
  - Perform POWER SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  No
  - Perform POWER SEAT SYSTEM VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  - Test Complete
