TRANSFER CASE OVERHEATED DUE TO EXTREME CONDITIONS - NO REPAIR NECESSARY
NOTE:
This DTC sets when the vehicle has been driven in a manner that causes the Transfer Case clutch to become too hot. As a precautionary measure, the Drivetrain Control Module (DTCM) will limit 4WD functionality until the temperature is in a safe range. No repairs are necessary.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs and record on the repair order.
- Record the Environmental Data.
- With the scan tool, erase DTCs.
- Operate the vehicle under normal conditions.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Did any DTCs return?
Yes
- Perform the appropriate diagnostic procedure.
No
- Test complete.
