DTC B2546: LH side view CAMERA fault: Diagnosis
Required Special Tools:
- MB991223: Harness Set
- MB992006: Extra Fine Probe
- STEP 1. Check the wiring harness between side-view camera (LH) connector and camera-ECU connector.
Check the following.
- Check of open circuit in ACCS line.
- Check of open circuit in GNDS line.
- Check of open or short circuit in VSV line.
- Check of open circuit in S-EX line.
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES: Go to Step 2.
NO: Repair the connector(s) or wiring harness.
- STEP 2. Recheck for diagnostic trouble code.
Check again if the DTC is set in the camera-ECU.
- Erase the DTC.
- Turn the ignition switch from the "LOCK" (OFF) position to the "ON" position.
- Check if DTC is set.
Q: Is the DTC set?
YES: Go to Step 3.
NO: The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to How to use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTION ).
- STEP 3. Check the side-view camera (LH).
Use an oscilloscope to check the output waveform of the side-view camera (LH) (Refer to CHECK AT CAMERA-ECU TERMINAL ).
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES: Go to Step 4.
NO: Replace the side-view camera (LH) (Refer to CAMERA REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
- STEP 4. Recheck for diagnostic trouble code.
Check again if the DTC is set in the camera-ECU.
- Erase the DTC.
- Turn the ignition switch from the "LOCK" (OFF) position to the "ON" position.
- Check if DTC is set.
Q: Is the DTC set?
YES: Replace the camera-ECU (Refer to CAMERA-ECU REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
NO: The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to How to use Troubleshooting/Inspection Service Points - HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTION ).
