Module, Blind Spot (BSM): Installation

  1. Reach up behind the outboard end of the rear bumper fascia to position the blind spot sensor (2) to the mounting bracket on the inside surface of the fascia (3).
  2. Push the sensor toward the front of the vehicle into the mounting bracket until the latch tab (4) fully engages.
  3. Connect the wire harness connector (1) to the sensor connector receptacle.
  4. Remove the support and lower the vehicle.
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to align the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU. Follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
