Module, Blind Spot (BSM): Removal

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to HOISTING, STANDARD PROCEDURE .
  3. Reach up behind the outboard end of the rear bumper fascia (3) to access and disconnect the wire harness connector (1) from the appropriate blind spot sensor (2) connector receptacle.
  4. Press the latch tab (4) of the blind spot sensor mounting bracket and pull the sensor out of the bracket toward the rear of the vehicle.
