Module, Door (DDM/PDM): Installation

NOTE:

Driver Door Module (DDM) shown in illustration, Passenger Door Module (PDM) similar.

  1. Position the DDM (4) to the front door carrier plate (1).
  2. Install the fasteners (3) that secure the DDM to the front door carrier plate. Tighten the screws securely.
  3. Connect each of the door wire harness connectors (2) to the DDM.
  4. Install the interior door trim panel to the left front door. Refer to PANEL, DOOR TRIM, INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector to the negative battery cable.
  6. Perform the manual relearn procedure. Refer to MODULE, DOOR (DDM/PDM), MODULE PROGRAMMING .
NOTE:

If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
