Module, Emergency Assistance (EAM): Removal: Speaker

  1. Disconnect and isolate the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), disconnect the IBS connector first before disconnecting the negative battery cable.

  2. Remove the center dash speaker grill (1) using a trim tool or equivalent and carefully pry up around the grill releasing the lock tabs.

  3. Remove the fasteners (1) from the Emergency Assistance Module (EAM) speaker (3).
  4. Lift the speaker up enough to disconnect the instrument panel wire harness connector (2) from the EAM speaker (3).
  5. Remove the EAM speaker (3) from the vehicle.
