Module, Hands Free Liftgate: Description

If equipped, there is one dedicated Hands Free Entry (HFE) liftgate module (1) and sensor (2) are mounted to the vehicle behind the rear fascia.

The HFE hardware and circuitry is contained and protected within a molded plastic housing that has two mounts and three wiring harness connection receptacles. There are two available designs. With trailer tow and without trailer tow. With trailer tow, the sensors and bracket are split to both sides of the trailer hitch

The HFE module (1) cannot be adjusted or repaired and, if damaged or ineffective, the HFE module must be replaced.
