Module, Radio Frequency (RF Hub): Installation

  1. Position the Radio Frequency Hub (RF-Hub) in place for installation.

  2. Install and securely tighten the RF-Hub fasteners (1).

  3. Connect the wire harness connectors (1) and, if equipped, the antenna wire harness connector (2) to the RF-Hub.
  4. Secure the rear of the headliner to an installed position. Refer to HEADLINER, INSTALLATION .
  5. Connect the negative battery cable. If equipped with an Intelligent Battery Sensor (IBS), connect the IBS connector.
  6. If this Electronic Control Unit (ECU) is being replaced with a new unit, follow the required routines outlined in "RF-Hub, BCM, PCM, FOBIK and ELV Replacement and Programming Order Guide" Refer to  STANDARD PROCEDURE   .
NOTE:

When replacing the RF-Hub you must also replace the Electronic Shaft Lock (ESL) module. 

NOTE:

If this ECU is being replaced with a new unit, a diagnostic scan tool MUST be used to determine if alignment of the PROXI configuration data into the new ECU is needed. If PROXI alignment is needed, follow the routine outlined in the diagnostic scan tool for PROXI Configuration Alignment under the Body Control Module (BCM) Miscellaneous Functions menu.
