Diagnostic Test

- CHECK FOR AN ACTIVE DTC
- Turn the ignition on.
- With the scan tool, read DTCs.
Does the scan tool display this DTC as active?
Yes
- Go To 2
No
- Test complete. The condition or conditions that originally set this DTC are not present at this time. Using the wiring diagrams as a guide, check all related splices and connectors for signs of water intrusion, corrosion, pushed out or bent terminals and correct pin tension.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE (F927) FUSED RUN RELAY OUTPUT CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN OR SHORT TO GROUND
- Turn the ignition off.
- Disconnect the Right Front Lamp Assembly C2 harness connector.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Measure the voltage of the (F927) Fused Run Relay Output circuit.
Is the voltage greater than 10.0 volts?
Yes
- Go To 3
No
- Repair the (F927) Fused Run Relay Output circuit for an open or short to ground.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE (Z906) GROUND CIRCUITS FOR AN OPEN
- Turn the ignition off.
- Measure the resistance between ground and the (Z906) Ground circuits.
Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Go To 4
No
- Repair the open in the (Z906) Ground circuits.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- CHECK THE (D503) LIN LIGHTING CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO VOLTAGE
- Disconnect the Both Front Headlamp Assembly harness connectors.
- Disconnect the Adaptive Front Lighting System (AFLS) Module harness connector.
- Turn the ignition on.
- Measure the voltage of the (D503) LIN Lighting circuit.
Is voltage present?
Yes
- Replace the Right Headlamp Assembly in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to UNIT, FRONT LAMP, REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 5
- CHECK THE (D503) LIN LIGHTING CIRCUIT FOR A SHORT TO GROUND
- Turn the ignition off.
- Measure the resistance between ground and the (D503) LIN Lighting circuit.
Is the resistance below 10K Ohms?
Yes
- Repair the short to ground in the (D503) LIN Lighting circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Go To 6
- CHECK THE (D503) LIN LIGHTING CIRCUIT FOR AN OPEN
- Measure the resistance of the (D503) LIN Lighting circuit.
Is the resistance below 5.0 Ohms?
Yes
- Replace the AFLS in accordance with the Service Information. Refer to MODULE, ADAPTIVE FRONT LIGHTING SYSTEM (AFLS), REMOVAL .
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
No
- Repair the open in the (D503) LIN Lighting circuit.
- Perform the BODY VERIFICATION TEST. Refer to BODY VERIFICATION TEST .
- Measure the resistance of the (D503) LIN Lighting circuit.
