DTC C2299: Implausible coding data: Diagnosis
- STEP 1. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), diagnose the CAN bus line
.CAUTION: To prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), always turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).
- Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE). Refer to "HOW TO CONNECT THE SCAN TOOL (M.U.T.-IIISE) ."
- Turn the ignition switch to the "ON" position.
- Diagnose the CAN bus line.
- Turn the ignition switch to the "LOCK" (OFF) position.
Q: Is the CAN bus line found to be normal?
YES: Go to Step 2.
NO: Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to DIAGNOSIS <CAN> ).
- STEP 2. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), read the other system DTC

Check the ETACS DTC (Refer to DIAGNOSIS ).
Q: Is the DTC set?
YES <DTC B1761 or B222C is set>: Perform chassis number writing and coding. Refer to the "scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE) operation manual" and perform coding.
YES <any other DTC is set>: Perform the relevant troubleshooting (Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART ).
NO: Go to Step 3.
- STEP 3. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), read the DTC again

Check again if the DTC is set in the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU.
- Erase the DTC.
- Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
- Check if DTC is set.
Q: Is the DTC set?
YES: Replace the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU (Refer to FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU ).
NO: This diagnosis is complete.
