DTC C1707: Implausible coding data: Diagnosis
- STEP 1. Using scan tool MB991958, diagnose the CAN bus lines.
Use scan tool to diagnose the CAN bus lines.
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES : Go to Step 2
NO : Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to DIAGNOSIS <CAN> ).
- STEP 2. ETACS-ECU coding data check
Using the scan tool, check if there is the FCM type 2, LDW Parameter status abnormality to the coding data stored in the ETACS-ECU (Refer to CODING LIST ).
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES : Go to Step 3
NO : Go to Step 4
- STEP 3. Check whether the DTC is set again.
Check again if the DTC is set in the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU.
- Erase the DTC.
- Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
- Check if DTC is set.
Q: Is the DTC set?
YES : Replace the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU (Refer to STEERING WHEEL SENSOR ).
NO : The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTION ).
- STEP 4. Check whether the DTC is set again.
Check again if the DTC is set in the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU.
- Erase the DTC.
- Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
- Check if DTC is set.
Q: Is the DTC set?
YES : Repair the coding data or replace ETACS-ECU (Refer to ETACS-ECU ).
NO : The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTION ).
