DTC C2299 Implausible coding data: Diagnosis
- STEP 1. Using scan tool MB991958, diagnose the CAN bus lines.
Use scan tool to diagnose the CAN bus lines.
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES : Go to Step 2
NO : Repair the CAN bus lines (Refer to DIAGNOSIS <CAN> ).
- STEP 2. Check the scan tool other system DTC.
Check the ETACS DTC (Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART ).
Q: Is the DTC set?
YES <DTC B1761 or B222C is set>: Perform chassis number writing and coding. Refer to the "M.U.T.-III user's service information" and perform coding.
YES <any other DTC is set>: Perform the relevant troubleshooting (Refer to DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART ).
NO : Go to Step 3
- STEP 3. Check whether the DTC is set again.
Check again if the DTC is set in the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU.
- Erase the DTC.
- Turn the ignition switch from "LOCK" (OFF) position to "ON" position.
- Check if DTC is set.
Q: Is the DTC set?
YES : Replace the FCM/LDW/AHB-ECU (Refer to STEERING WHEEL SENSOR ).
NO : This diagnosis is complete.
