INSPECTION PROCEDURE 4: Multimode keyless entry system function does not work at all. <Vehicles with electric retractable remote controlled door mirrors (Up to 19 Model year) >: Diagnosis
- STEP 1. Confirm the transmitter
.
Check that the keyless entry system works normally.
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES: Go to Step 2.
NO: Refer to trouble symptom chart (Refer to TROUBLE SYMPTOM CHART ).
- STEP 2. Check the operation of the electric-folding door mirror

Check that the electric folding door mirrors work normally.
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES: Go to Step 3.
NO: Refer to, Door mirror - TROUBLE SYMPTOM CHART .
- STEP 3. Using scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), read the DTC
.CAUTION: To prevent damage to scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE), always turn the ignition switch to the OFF position before connecting or disconnecting scan tool (M.U.T.-IIISE).
- Connect scan tool (M.U.T.-III). Refer to SPECIAL TOOLS .
- Check that keyless entry system sets a DTC.
Q: Is the DTC set?
YES: Refer to DTC chart (Refer to KEYLESS ENTRY SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS ).
NO: Go to Step 4.
- STEP 4. Check the customization function

Use the customization function to check that the "Multi mode" has been set to one of the followings, not "Disabled."
- D/M: O&C.
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES: Go to Step 5.
NO: Use the customization function to set the "Multi mode" to one of the above, not "Disabled" (Refer to POWER DOOR LOCKS WITH SELECTIVE UNLOCKING INSPECTION <VEHICLES WITH ELECTRIC RETRACTABLE REMOTE CONTROLLED DOOR MIRRORS> ).
- STEP 5. Retest the system

Check that the multimode keyless entry system works normally.
Q: Is the check result normal?
YES: The trouble can be an intermittent malfunction (Refer to, How to use Troubleshooting/inspection Service Points - HOW TO COPE WITH INTERMITTENT MALFUNCTIONS ).
NO: Replace ETACS-ECU and register the ID codes (Refer to POWER DOOR LOCKS WITH SELECTIVE UNLOCKING INSPECTION <VEHICLES WITH ELECTRIC RETRACTABLE REMOTE CONTROLLED DOOR MIRRORS> ).
