Component Inspection

1. Turn ignition switch OFF.
2. Disconnect stop light switch harness connector.
3. Check the continuity between stop light switch terminals as per the following conditions.

   Stop light switch		Condition		Continuity
   +	-
   Terminals
   4	3	Brake pedal	Fully released	Existed
   			Slightly depressed	Not existed
   1	2	Brake pedal	Fully released	Not existed
   			Slightly depressed	Existed

Is the inspection result normal? 

YES >>

INSPECTION END

NO >>

GO TO 2 

1. Adjust stop light switch installation. Refer to INSPECTION AND ADJUSTMENT .
2. Check the continuity between stop light switch terminals as per the following conditions.

   Stop light switch		Condition		Continuity
   +	-
   Terminals
   4	3	Brake pedal	Fully released	Existed
   			Slightly depressed	Not existed
   1	2	Brake pedal	Fully released	Not existed
   			Slightly depressed	Existed

Is the inspection result normal? 

YES >>

INSPECTION END

NO >>

Replace stop light switch. Refer to EXPLODED VIEW .
