Precautions At Normal Charging
WARNING:
- Always use the normal charging cable that is equipped with the vehicle.
- Do not insert or remove the plug with a moistened or wet hand.
- Do not touch the metal terminal of normal charging port and normal charging cable (normal charging plug). An accident such as electric shock may result.
- Do not perform charging with the vehicle covered with the body cover.
- When there is a risk of lightning strike, do not perform charging.
- If any unusual smell is noticed or if smoke is detected from the vehicle, immediately stop the charging.
- Do not perform charging if any damage, corrosion, or rust is found with the normal charging cable, or if any looseness is present with the connection. An electrical leakage, electric shock, short, or fire hazard may result.
- Never modify or disassemble the charging cable. A fire hazard may result.
- When handling the charging cable, be careful with the followings: do not pull forcibly; do not twist; do not drag; do not place heavy object onto the cable or adapter; do not place heating devices (stove, etc.) near the cable or adapter; do not drop the normal charging plug; and do not subject the normal charging plug to any strong shocks.
- Do not perform charging at an ill-ventilated place enclosed by walls or others. Keep a source of fire away from the 12V battery. At charging, a building in which work is performed may be charged with flammable gas generated from the 12V battery, and an explosion may result. When the charging is unavoidable, always exercise sufficient ventilation.
- After charging is complete, securely close the inner lid and the lid of normal charging connection to prevent any water or dust intrusion.
- Always remove the plug from the power outlet after charging is finished. If the plug is kept connected to the power outlet, a serious accident including electric shock will result.
CAUTION:
During charging, the cooling fan in the engine compartment may operate automatically even when the power supply mode of the electric motor switch is OFF. Do not place the hands near the cooling fan during charging.
