Removal And Installation: Notes

CAUTION:

Before replacing the transaxle assembly, you should make a note of the serial No. which is stamped on the new transaxle assembly (Refer to FREEZE FRAME DATA REFERENCE TABLE ).
When the transaxle assembly is replaced, carry out the following operations.
- Initialization Procedure for CVT Learned Value (Refer to FREEZE FRAME DATA REFERENCE TABLE ).
- Learning Procedure (Refer to FREEZE FRAME DATA REFERENCE TABLE ).

Pre-removal and post-installation operation

Transfer Assembly Removal and Installation <AWD> (Refer to TRANSFER ASSEMBLY <AWD> ).
Strut Tower Bar Removal and Installation (Refer to STRUT TOWER BAR ).
Air Cleaner Assembly, Air Cleaner Bracket Removal and Installation (Refer to AIR CLEANER ).
Battery and Battery Tray Removal and Installation (Refer to BATTERY ).
Engine Room Under Cover Front A, B and Engine Room Side Cover Removal and Installation (Refer to Under Cover REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
Transmission Fluid Draining and Refilling (Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID CHANGE ).
Engine Coolant Draining and Refilling (Refer to On-vehicle Service ENGINE COOLANT CHANGE ).
Engine control module Removal and Installation (Refer to ENGINE CONTROL MODULE ).
Air Hose B and Air Hose C Removal and Installation (Refer to CHARGE AIR COOLER ).

Removal steps
<<A>>		1. CVT assembly connector connection
		2. Connector and wiring harness connection
<<B>>	>>B<<	3. Transaxle control cable connection
		4. Transaxle control cable bracket
		5. Battery ground
		6. Water hose connection
		7. Oil cooler return hose connection (Refer to TRANSMISSION FLUID COOLER AND COOLER LINE )
		• Supporting the engine and transaxle assembly with a garage jack.

		• Transaxle mounting bracket and transaxle mounting insulator (Refer to TRANSAXLE MOUNTING ).
		• Engine roll rod assembly (Refer to ENGINE ROLL STOPPER ROD ).
		8. Oil filler tube assembly
		9. O-ring
		• Battery bracket A, Battery bracket B (Refer to Loose Panel REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION ).
		• Starter (Refer to Starting System STARTER MOTOR ASSEMBLY ).
