Work Procedure

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2023 Mitsubishi Outlander PHEV. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

Vehicle specification needs to be written with M.U.T.-III SE because it is not written after replacing the ADAS control unit 2.

The configuration requires network connection. M.U.T.-III SE connects to network and then it downloads the configuration data from the server. Then M.U.T.-III SE writes the vehicle specification to the ADAS control unit 2.

NOTE: For details the network connection and operation, refer to "M.U.T.-III SE User's Manual".
The configuration no need to "save" configuration data from the ADAS control unit 2. The configuration data is always generated freshly at the server and then downloaded to the M.U.T.-III SE.
CAUTION:
  • Complete the procedure of "Configuration" in order.
  • If incorrect "Configuration", incidents might occur.
NOTE: When the chassis number writing, MAC KEY writing or vehicle specification writing is carried out, DTC No. U2252-08 may be set in the PHEV-ECU, or DTC No. C1F04-61 may be set in the ADAS control unit 2. Therefore, carry out the following procedures after the writing.
  1. Check that the DTC No. C1F04-61 is set in the ADAS control unit 2.
    • When the DTC is not set: Go to Step  2.
    • When the DTC is set as a past trouble: Erase the DTC, then go to Step  2.
    • When the DTC is set as a current trouble: Carry out the following procedures.
      1. Start the engine (set the drive mode to battery charge mode, or start the continuous idling mode) or drive the vehicle at 5 km/h or more.
      2. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to OFF.
      3. Change the power supply mode of the electric motor switch to ON.
      4. Check whether the DTC No. C1F04-61 is set in the ADAS control unit 2.

    When the DTC is set as a current trouble: Carry out the diagnosis procedures for the DTC No. C1F04-61, then go to Step 2.

    When the DTC is set as a past trouble: Erase the DTC, then go to Step 2.

  2. Check that the DTC No. U2252-08 is set in the PHEV-ECU.
    • When the DTC is not set: End the diagnosis.
    • When the DTC is set as a past trouble: Erase the DTC, then end the diagnosis.
    • When the DTC is set as a current trouble: Carry out the diagnosis procedures for the DTC No. U2252-08.
  1. WRITING VEHICLE SPECIFICATION 

    With M.U.T.-III SE

    Perform writing vehicle specification to ADAS control unit 2 following "Automatic Configuration" procedure of "Configuration" according to M.U.T.-III SE User's Manual.

    • Log in the network according to M.U.T.-III SE guidance.
    • For details the network connection and operation, refer to "M.U.T.-III SE User's Manual".
