Feedback Carburetor System: Description

The electronically controlled carburetor improves driveability while reducing emissions. The system is offered in 2 versions: Federal Sentra MPG models use 1 system and California Pulsar and Sentra models use a slightly different system. The major difference between systems is the use of components.

The system components include: control unit (ECU), coolant temperature sensor, exhaust gas sensor, throttle valve switch, ignition coil, clutch switch, neutral switch, inhibitor switch (except MPG), engine revolution switch (MPG only), vacuum switch (except MPG), and battery voltage.
