Fuel Shut-Off System

  1. Visually check fuel shut-off system. If any switches are broken, replace. Turn ignition on. Check for voltage at terminal "Y" of engine revolution switch. Start engine and warm to normal operating temperature.
  2. Disconnect anti-dieseling solenoid valve connector, engine should die. If engine stays running, replace anti-dieseling solenoid valve. Connect voltmeter between terminal "Y" of engine revolution switch and ground.
  3. Move shift control lever to neutral position. Run engine under no load. Increase engine idle speed to 1650 RPM. If voltmeter reads zero volts, engine revolution switch is good. If voltmeter reads any reading other than zero volts, revolution switch is defective.
