Fuel Injection System - Diesel: Description

The fuel injection system consists of a combination injection pump and fuel distributor, four injection nozzles, a fuel tank, lines and hoses, and fuel filter assembly. The filter assembly contains a fuel filter, integral priming pump, and a water separator. The injectors use a needle type valve at the end of each nozzle.

Integrated into the fuel system is an glow plug system to aid in cold start operation. The glow plug system consists of a glow plug in each cylinder, two relays, a dropping resistor, a glow plug control unit and various lights and switches.
