Air Flow Meter Test (Code 12)
- Disconnect the 20-pin connector and measure the resistance between terminals 34 and 32, 34 and 33, and 34 and 35. See Figure
. If no good, go to next step. If okay, check air flow meter flap. If flap is okay, replace control unit. If not okay, replace air flow meter.AIR FLOW METER RESISTANCE VALUES
Application Ohms 34-33 100-400 34-35 200-500 34-32 Any Except 0 or Infinity - If resistance readings in step 1) were not correct, check air flow meter resistance readings between terminals 34 and 32, 34 and 33, and 34 and 35 on air flow meter. Resistance should be as listed in table. If no good, replace the air flow meter.
- If okay, check resistance readings between terminals 32,33, 34, 35 and ground. Resistance should be infinity. If okay, check air flow meter flap. If no good, replace air flow meter.
