Air Injection System: Description

The air induction system is used to reduce hydrocarbon (HC) and carbon monoxide (CO) emissions by supplying filtered air to the exhaust manifold.

The system consists of a air induction valve, air induction control solenoid, coolant temperature sensor and ECCS control unit. The air induction solenoid valve is controlled by the ECCS control unit, corresponding to engine temperature.
