Air Regulator

  1. Disconnect 20-pin connector. Check voltage between terminals 16 and ground when ignition is on. See Figure . If there is battery voltage, test is complete. If not, check harness and repair if necessary. If harness is okay, check air regulator.
  2. Check for continuity between the 2 terminals of the connector. If there is no continuity, replace regulator. If okay, remove air regulator and visually check shutter opening.
  3. Shutter should be open if engine is cold, closed if engine is warm. Check for smooth operation by opening shutter with a screwdriver.
